jparks (after folding clothes for maybe 3 minutes. maybe): "I'm sooo tired of folding clothes. I've been doing this for hours. Can we hire someone to do our laundry for us?"
me: "Well, we could or we could have a kid and make it do the laundry for us."
"That doesn't seem right, a kid can't do our laundry."
"No, not for about 6 years, but after that we get 12 years of laundry-free living"
"But for 6 years we have to do its laundry"
"Yeah, but in the end we win."
Same goes for fetching beer. Once we have a kid, we'll rarely have to get our own frosty beverages.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think I had a kid? I HATE mowing the lawn. Good thing we have a riding mower, in case he can't walk.
ReplyDeleteWait are you waiting for? Pop out some children of Monkey already!
ReplyDeleteheh heh heh. I knew there was a reason I wanted to get pregnant, I just couldn't put my finger on it. Right now we're trying to teach Chachi to fold laundy, so far he just likes to sleep in it. We are going to teach him to fetch drinks though. Even if I have to make a little cart he totes around which carries the drinks all of the time....
