Up until today the marathon that I'd mentioned before was just hypothetically happening. I mean, the marathon was definitely happening, but my running it was only a crazy idea that wasn't real yet. That all changed when I got this today:
Uh, oh shit. Let the training officially begin.
I will be there to cheer you on!
ReplyDeletehappy training!
ReplyDeleteErm ... good luck?
ReplyDeleteyou're nuts
ReplyDeleteMaybe now you can run to work and save money on gas?
ReplyDeleteYay!!! You'll never regret doing this!! Good Luck!!!
ReplyDeleteGo you!! That's great- I always toss the idea around but I'm way too lazy to train.
ReplyDeleteYAY!
I tried to get into the 1/2, but wasn't selected.
ReplyDeleteI ran my first full marathon about a year ago. Since that distance scared me, we did a run/walk. (Galloway method -- see http://www.jeffgalloway.com/training/walk_breaks.html)
Much less frightening, and we were able to hold a steady pace the whole way. We passed a lot of folks who ran out of steam.
You can do it!
Even if you don't want to run/walk, they have a good training schedule (http://www.jeffgalloway.com/training/marathon.html)
