SHOES!

Okay, in truth it's only some of the shoes.

This weekend I had the brilliant idea of lining all my shoes up on the steps and taking a picture. But the fatal flaw was that I have more shoes than steps (even if I put three pairs per step). Plus you couldn't really see the shoes at the top of the steps.

After some carefully scouting places in the house I decided I should lay them all out in the living room. But they wouldn't all fit. I was going to break them into two pictures, flats and heels, but I ran out of time before I got to the heels.

So stay tuned, heels coming soon. And, if I can figure out how to move the coffee table, maybe you'll get a shot of all the pairs together.

If you click the picture, it'll take you to flickr where you can see all the notes I added.

  1. That's quite impressive, I can't wait for the heels... the most exciting part. :P

    Two questions:
    1. What is Dansko and why do you have like nine pairs of them?
    2. WHY do you own Crocs? You are certainly above the Crocs. Anyone who doesn't live underneath an overpass, in fact, is above the Crocs.

  2. 1. Have 6 pairs of danskos, not 9. They are just really comfy shoes. I like the mary janes for the winter and therefore need them in every color available.
    2. The crocs are my dog walking shoes. Most mornings it's too cold to go out in flip flops. So I wear my crocs with some socks (you can't see the socks because of the pajama pants) while I'm walking Lily. They are also better for keeping my feet dry when I'm walking through the dewy grass looking for her poop.

  3. Well as long as they are only used for poop-seeking.

  4. and they're pink, which makes them okay too. I have a pair of ballet flat crocs. Makes them much more acceptable to wear out of the home, although I have yet to do so.

  5. You can learn so much about someone through their shoes!

Maybe someday I'll have time to catalog my shoes for fellow bloggers' enjoyment. I can tell you I have a pair of Mary Janes by Softwalk that I love; they were perfect in Europe and make you feel like you're walking on bubblewrap. Another favorite pair of mine are the purple "Athena" Birks I got in Berlin. They are so awesome I may just have to take a picture of them...
